Tarot of Paris — Anne Graaff

TAROT OF PARIS

This attempt to create this artist’s Tarot pack arises from my ongoing interest in synchronicity and chance and the history of western esotericism. The images are deliberately constructed from found literature – that is to say, literature picked up as I navigate the city of Paris (advertising flyers for cultural events, museum catalogues, the free metro newspaper and so forth). The 76 images of the Tarot pack have been completed for the Tarot de Paris, and I am now working on an accompanying interpretation text. Building on the old fundamentals of Tarot interpretation, I am attempting a personal interpretation of the images in my own Tarot de Paris.
